Job Objective

The Business Development Trainer is responsible for designing and delivering practical training programs in entrepreneurship, small business creation and management, enhancement of financial and economic skills, and empowering participants to generate sustainable income.

Key Responsibilities

The Business Development Trainer is responsible for implementing training programs in small business establishment and management, preparing and delivering Business Plan training, basic market analysis, income and expenditure management, and fundamental marketing and sales principles.

The trainer will also deliver practical training on methods of accessing loans from financial institutions, effective utilization of loans, and loan repayment management for participants.

The trainer is responsible for assessing training needs, applying appropriate training methodologies, and delivering simple, practical, and results-oriented training according to participants’ capacity levels.

The trainer is also required to prepare regular training reports, maintain participants’ records, and provide feedback to improve the quality of training programs.

Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, gender principles, inclusion, non-discrimination, and safeguarding policies (Safeguarding & PSEA) during all training sessions is a key responsibility of this position.

The trainer must work in close coordination with the project team at the Herat office and actively support the successful implementation of project objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Management, Economic Development, or related fields
  • At least 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in training, entrepreneurship, or business development
  • Experience in training and facilitation in SMEs is highly preferred
  • Strong skills in Business Plan development, market analysis, and basic financial management
  • Knowledge of loan systems and debt management
  • Excellent ability to deliver practical and easy-to-understand training
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Fluency in Dari and Pashto; English is an advantage

Job Objective

The Finance Officer is responsible for managing, processing, recording, and reporting all financial transactions of the organization. The position ensures that all financial operations are carried out accurately, transparently, and in full compliance with RAPO financial policies, donor requirements, and internationally accepted accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Finance Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and processing all financial transactions, including preparation and verification of payment vouchers and supporting documentation in accordance with organizational and donor requirements.

He/She will review financial documents prior to payment processing to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with approved budgets.

The position includes maintaining cash books, ledger accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate bank reconciliations.

The Finance Officer will assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal management and donors.

He/She will monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure that spending remains within approved budget lines.

The role requires ensuring full compliance with RAPO financial policies, donor regulations, and audit requirements at all times.

The Finance Officer will actively support internal and external audit processes by providing required financial documents and clarifications.

Close coordination with program and procurement teams is required to ensure effective financial planning and smooth project implementation.

Ensuring financial transparency, accountability, and prevention of fraud or misuse of funds is a key responsibility of this position.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably within NGO/INGO sector
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Experience in budget tracking and donor financial reporting
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Fluency in Dari and Pashto; English is an advantage

The position plays a key role in strengthening beneficiary participation in project activities, facilitating access to training and support services, and building effective communication between RAPO and target communities.

Key Responsibilities

The Community Mobilizer is responsible for identifying, registering, and mobilizing women entrepreneurs and small business owners according to project criteria.

 She will conduct community awareness sessions and provide clear information regarding project objectives, beneficiary selection criteria, and available services.

The Community Mobilizer will actively participate in identifying economic needs, challenges faced by small businesses, and potential development opportunities within communities, and report findings to the project team.

The position requires maintaining strong relationships between RAPO, women entrepreneurs, small business owners, community leaders, and other stakeholders.

 She will support beneficiaries in accessing business development training, capacity-building services, and other related project activities.

The Community Mobilizer is also responsible for preparing daily, weekly, and monthly field activity reports, maintaining beneficiary records, and submitting accurate information to relevant supervisors.

Ensuring compliance with gender principles, women’s economic empowerment, inclusion, non-discrimination, safeguarding policies (Safeguarding & PSEA), and confidentiality of beneficiary information is an essential responsibility of this position.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum high school diploma; Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Community Development, or related fields is preferred

1–3 years of relevant experience in community mobilization, social work, or economic development projects

Experience working with women entrepreneurs or SME-related projects is highly preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to collect data and prepare accurate reports

Knowledge of gender principles and women’s economic empowerment

Ability to work effectively in field environments and within teams

Fluency in Dari and Pashto
